(11) Set synthesized signal generator for an 8.4 GHz output. Adjust output level
until measuring receiver indicates a directional coupler output of 2.0 dBm. If TI display
does not indicate 2.0 1 dBm, perform b (1) through (22) below.
(12) Repeat (11) above for each 0.1 GHz increment between 8.4 and 10.0 GHz.
(13) Set synthesized signal generator for an 8.4 GHz output. Adjust output level
until measuring receiver indicates a directional coupler output of +10.0 dBm. If TI display
does not indicate +10.0 1 dBm, perform b (23) through (26) below.
(14) Repeat (13) above for synthesized signal generator outputs of 9.2 and 10.0 GHz.
b. Adjustments
(1) Connect multimeter to DET PWR TP (fig. 1) and circuit ground.
(2) Set synthesized signal generator for a 9.2 GHz output. Adjust level control until
measuring receiver indicates a directional coupler output of +10.0 dBm.
(3) Adjust VR17 (fig. 1) for a +8.00 0.03 V dc multimeter indication (R).
(4) Adjust synthesized signal generator level control for a -4.0 dBm directional
coupler output as indicated by measuring receiver. Record multimeter indication.
(5) Set synthesized signal generator output to off.
(6) Position controls as listed in (a) through (d) below:
TRIGGER switch to INT.
(a)
(b)
ATTENUATION DB FINE control fully cw.
(c)
MODE switch to SELF TEST.
(d)
(7) After display becomes blank, press E on keyboard until self test starts. When
display indicates [ ] (self test completed), press E until display indicates 3.
NOTE
If self test indicates a failure press E to advance to next step.
(8) Adjust VR15 (fig. 1) for a multimeter indication of +8.00 0.03 V dc (R).
(9) Press E on keyboard until display indicates 4 and adjust VR16 (fig. 1) until
NOTE
VR16 is a nominal adjustment and will be readjusted in (19)
below.
(11) Set synthesized signal generator output to on. Adjust level control until
measuring receiver indicates a directional coupler output of +8.0 dBm.
(12) Set MODE switch to RADAR CW and TRIGGER switch to RF.
