(4) Set oscilloscope calibrator MARKER output to 5 mS and adjust horizontal
position control to align middle time marker to center vertical graticule line.
(5) Pull X10 MAG switch to X10. If time marker is not aligned with center vertical
graticule line within  l division, perform b (2) and (3) below.
b. Adjustments
(1) Adjust R601 (fig. 2) for best linearity (particularly at end of sweep) and R589
(fig. 1) for 1 marker per division over center 8 divisions (R).
(2) Adjust horizontal position control to align middle time marker with center
vertical graticule line.
(3) Push X10 MAG switch to OFF.
Adjust R593 (fig. 1) to align middle time
marker with center vertical graticule line (R).
14. Timing
a. Performance Check
(1) Set SEC/DIV switch to 5 .
(2) Set oscilloscope calibrator MARKER mode output to 5 s.
(3) Adjust oscilloscope calibrator rotary knob below EDIT FIELD button for 1
marker per division over center 8 divisions. If oscilloscope calibrator err readout indication
is not within 3%, perform b (1) below.
(4) Pull X10 MAG switch to X10 and set oscilloscope calibrator MARKER output to
.5 s.
(5) Repeat technique of (3) above, except if oscilloscope calibrator err readout
indication is not within 5%, perform b (2) below.
(6) Set SEC/DIV switch to 1 and oscilloscope calibrator MARKER output to .1 s.
(7) Repeat technique of (3) above, except if oscilloscope calibrator err readout
indication is not within 5%, perform b (3) below.
(8) Push X10 MAG switch to OFF. Repeat technique of (3) above for SEC/DIV and
oscilloscope calibrator MARKER outputs listed in table 6.
