(5) Press SYSTEM CONTROL CLEAR DISPLAY pushbutton and wait for 64
averages to accumulate.
(6) Press More and Measure keys. Press Precision key until Fine is highlighted.
(7) Press Period key to measure the period of 18 GHz sine wave.
Period will
indicate between 44.34 and 67.15 ps.
(8) Repeat (5) through (7) for Timebase DELAY settings of 18 ns, 19.9 ns, 19.95 ns,
23.95 ns, 27.95 ns and 55.95 ns. Period will indicate between 44.5 and 66.7 ps.
(9) Press More and Timebase keys. Set DELAY to Delay = 16 ns. Press Display
key and set Bandwidth to highlight 12.4 GHz.
(10) Repeat technique of (5) through (7) above for TI settings and synthesized signal
generator settings listed in table 5.
NOTE
If the frequency and amplitude are set on the synthesized
signal generator, signal generator, and function generator
before the Timebase TIME/DIV Sweep Speed = settings, it
may not be necessary to press SYSTEM CONTROL/CLEAR
DISPLAY  pushbutton as the # Avgs starts counting
automatically when Sweep Speed is changed.
