(13) Slowly adjust the RPG control cw until trigger level just stops triggering.
Record the trigger level setting (_____________). This value is Vpos.
(14) Reset the trigger level to 0.000 V and slowly adjust the RPG control ccw until
trigger level just stops triggering. Record the trigger level setting (_____________). This
value is Vneg.
(15) Calculate the sensitivity. Vsense = 150 mV - (Vpos - Vneg). The value will be
40 mV.
(16) Reset the trigger level to 0.000 V.
(17) Set HF Reject to On is highlighted and repeat (13) through (15) above. The
value will be 57 mV (+ 3 dB).
(18) Reset the trigger level to 0.000 V.
(19) Press Timebase key and set Sweep Speed = 100 ps/div.
(20) Press Channels and VOLTS/DIV keys and set Sensitivity = 50.00 mV/div.
(21) Press Trigger key and set TRIGGER LEVEL to Trigger Level = 0.000 V; HF
Sens and HF Reject Off is highlighted.
(22) Connect equipment as shown in figure 7, CONNECTION C.
V p-p 200 mV as shown on display.
NOTE
It will be necessary to go to the Measure Mode to verify the
measurement of the V p-p = 200 mV.
(24) Slowly adjust the RPG control cw until the trigger level just stops triggering.

(25) Reset the trigger level to 0.000 v and slowly adjust the RPG control ccw until
trigger level just stops triggering. Record the trigger level setting (_____________). This
value is Vneg.
(26) Calculate the sensitivity. Vsense = 200 mV - (Vpos - Vneg). The value will be
<200 mV.
(27) Set Trigger Level = 0.000V. Set delay to 35 ns.
