(44) Press in and rotate EXTERNAL ALC GAIN control until CAL indicator stays
lit continuously. Release EXTERNAL ALC GAIN pushbutton.
NOTE
CAL indicator will extinguish when EXTERNAL ALC GAIN
control is released.
NOTE
Press in EXTERNAL ALC GAIN control. If CAL indicator
does not light, repeat (44) above.
(45) Press LEVEL key and adjust INCR-DECR control for a power meter indication
as close as possible to difference recorded in (37) above.
(46) Slowly rotate TRIGGER MANUAL SWEEP control until multimeter indicates
same value as recorded in 7 h (12) above. Note and record power meter lowest and highest
indications and associated multimeter indications.

Multimeter  indication

frequency in gigahertz.
NOTE
Refer to Example 2 for (47) below.
(47) Measure 10 dB attenuator (fixed) actual attenuation values using receiver
system for the lowest and highest power meter indications associated frequencies.
NOTE
Refer to Example 3 for (48) below.
(48) Algebraically add 10 dB attenuator (fixed) actual attenuation values to
associated power meter indications. Sum will be between +9.6 and +10.4 dBm.
(49) Press INTERNAL LEVELING key.
b. Adjustments. No adjustments can be made.
15. Flatness Test
a. Performance Test
(1) Press RESET key.
(2) Ensure RF SLOPE control is in OFF position.
(3) Press FREQUENCY RANGE F1-F2 key.
(4) Press F1 M3 key and set F1 M3 display to 0.010 GHz by pressing 10 with
DATA ENTRY keys and then by pressing MHz/dB/mS DATA ENTRY key.
