Convert the Vrms reading to dBm using the formula below.
1
.
dBm = log V
Record dBm value as P1 for use in 12 a (10).
5
(5) Remove AC measurement standard and termination from equipment set-up and
connect the TI 50 Ω Leveling Head to power meter using power sensor and a high quality
adapter.
(6) Set the TI controls as listed in (a) through (d) below:
(a) MODE to Leveled Sine.
(c) LEVEL to +20 dBm.
(d) OUTPUT to OPER.
(7) Set the power meter to indicate dBm units with maximum resolution.
(8) After measurement has settled, record this 100 kHz reference value as P2.
(9) Set the TI to the next test frequency in table 11.
(10) Record the measured value as P3. Calculate the TI output power (Pout) using the
P = P + P - P
formula below:
(11) Verify that the TI indicates within the tolerances of table 11. If TI does not
indicate within the tolerances of table 11, perform b below.
(12) Repeat technique of (6) (b), (10) and (11) above for remaining frequencies at
current output level. If TI does not indicate within the tolerances of table 11, perform b
below.
(13) Set the TI to 100 kHz at the next amplitude listed in table 11. Repeat technique
of (9) through (13) above for remaining values in table 11. If the TI does not indicate within
