(1) Remove TI rear panel.
(2) Ensure that the impedance measuring system is set to measure series
capacitance at a test voltage of 1 V rms and a test frequency of 1 kHz.
(3) Perform short and open compensation on impedance measuring system (fig. 1,
connections A and B).
NOTE
When measuring relatively low capacitance (HACS-Z-6E-1pF),
open circuit compensation should be performed after short
circuit compensation.  Open circuit compensation has the
dominant impact on low capacitance measurements.
(4) Connect equipment as shown in figure 2.
(5) Set all TI dials to zero except for the decade to be adjusted. Set that decade to
the value indicated on the rear panel trimmer label.
(6) Adjust in the nominal order of 1-2-4-5 starting with the lowest setting (fig. 3).
Figure 3. HACS-Z-B-6E-1pF Adjustments.
Example: The 60 pF position is out of tolerance. Set the 10 pF/Step decade to
10 pF then adjust the 10 pF trimmer. Next, set the 10 pF/Step decade to 20
pF and adjust the 20 pF trimmer. Then, set the 10 pF/Step decade to 40 pF
and adjust the 40 pF trimmer. Finally, set the 10 pF/Step decade to 50 pF
and adjust the 50 pF trimmer.
(7) After adjustment, test all switch positions within the decade to ensure TI is
within the limits of the applicable table above.  Some adjustment compromise may be
necessary.
(8) Disconnect equipment set-up.
9. Calibration Test Report.  A calibration test report is required for International
Organization for Standardization (ISO) compliance calibration. Preparation of test report
is required to satisfy customer's request for ISO calibration. The purpose of the test report
is to allow utilization of:
