(104) Adjust FREQUENCY control for 5.500 GHz frequency reading on crt. (Adjust
FREQUENCY SPAN/DIV control to a higher setting to facilitate tuning then back to
2 MHz.) Press DEGAUSS pushbutton.
(105) Position the 5.5 GHz marker to center graticule, using FREQUENCY control.
(106) Observe that 5.5 GHz marker is within 11.0 MHz of center of crt. If error is
larger, adjust FREQUENCY SPAN/DIV control to 5 MHz.
(107) If error is still greater than 11.0 MHz from center of crt, perform technique of
(108) and (109) below. If not, perform (110) below.
(108) Adjust FREQUENCY control to center 5.5 GHz marker on crt. If readout is
equal to or greater than 5.522 GHz, adjust R1032 (fig. 8) (located on center frequency
control) until marker is 4 MHz lower than center graticule line.
(109) If frequency readout on crt is between 5.511 to 5.521 MHz adjust R1032 to
move marker one half the difference between the error and 5.511.
(110) Adjust FREQUENCY control to 5.510 GHz on crt and adjust R1031 to
position marker to center of crt.
(111) Disconnect microwave comb generator and connect CAL OUT to RF INPUT.
(112) Adjust FREQUENCY SPAN/DIV control to 100 MHz and FREQUENCY
control for a 500 MHz readout on crt.
NOTE
(113) Adjust R1065 (fig. 8) for one marker per division over center 8 divisions of crt.
Adjust FREQUENCY control as necessary to aline markers.
(114) Position controls as listed in (a) through (c) below:
(a)FREQUENCY control to 15 MHz.
(b)REFERENCE LEVEL control to +10 dBm.
(c) FREQUENCY SPAN/DIV control to 2 MHz.
(115) Remove CAL OUT connection from RF INPUT and connect oscilloscope
calibrator to RF INPUT.
(116) Set oscilloscope calibrator for 0.5 s markers and press TI DEGAUSS
pushbutton.
(117) Adjust R1071 (fig. 8) and FREQUENCY control for one marker per division
over center eight divisions of crt.
(118) Disconnect TI from equipment setup.
(119) Position controls as listed in (a) through (g) below:
(a) FREQUENCY RANGE pushbutton to 5.4 - 18 GHz.
(b) FREQUENCY SPAN/DIV control to 20 MHz.
(c) FREQUENCY control to 6.0 GHz.
