(18) Set POWER switch to ON and press SET/ENTER key.

(19) Press the following keys on FUNCTION/DATA keyboard as listed in (a)

through (d) below:

(20) Press SET/ENTER key.

(21) Connect synthesized signal generator RF output to power meter.

(22) Adjust synthesized signal generator frequency to 809 MHz and RF output

amplitude controls for a +5 dBm indication on power meter.

(23) Disconnect synthesized signal generator RF output cable from power meter, and

connect synthesized signal generator RF output to INPUT 1.

NOTE

The RED overload LED indicator (fig. 1) may be on at this

time. The IF must be driven sufficiently for the filter

adjustment, and the overload condition is acceptable.

(24) Adjust synthesized signal generator controls for frequency modulation of

200 kHz deviation.

(25) Adjust A6C14 (fig. 1) cw until both GREEN and YELLOW LED's (fig. 1) are on

with equal brightness. (R)

(26) Turn off frequency modulation and adjust frequency to 808.5 MHz on

synthesized signal generator. .GREEN LED (fig. 1) will be on.

(27) Adjust synthesized signal generator frequency to 809.5 MHz. YELLOW LED

(fig. 1) will be on.

NOTE

If techniques (26) and (27) above fail,

repeat techniques (21) through (25) above.

(28) Adjust synthesized signal generator frequency to 2.03 GHz and RF level output

controls for a +4 dBm indication on power meter.

(29) Disconnect synthesized signal generator RF output cable from power meter.

(30) Connect synthesized signal generator RF output cable to INPUT 1, and adjust

A6R7 (fig. 1) cw until RED LED (fig. 1) on A6 assembly turns on. (R)

(31) Disconnect synthesized signal generator RF output from INPUT 1.

(32) Connect synthesized signal generator RF output cable to power meter.

(33) Adjust synthesized signal generator RF level output controls for a +2.5 dBm

indication on power meter and disconnect synthesized signal generator RF output cable

from power meter.
